Go Sustainable Energy (Go) is considering full-time Energy Engineer candidates for 2023. We serve leading businesses, cities, manufacturers, healthcare systems, and utilities. We consult on energy efficiency, distributed energy resources, and energy management, from our Dayton and Columbus offices. Go provides accurate, unbiased information to our clients. Go has worked in 20 states.  


Our team continuously invests in building the knowledge and skills required to achieve a decarbonized society, and we offer compelling career development opportunities. The goal of our work is to investigate, measure, and to support our clients’ energy and sustainability initiatives. To be successful, we must invest in our client relationships, and navigate the technical, economic, and cultural influences that create barriers and opportunities with a changing energy system.


Go is seeking engineers of all experience levels to work in our in-office locations and will consider work-from-home arrangements.


Skills and background include:

  • Bachelors’ degree required

    • Energy, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering degree preferred

  • Graduate degree preferred

  • Experience in the energy industry is preferred but consideration will be given to candidates without experience.

  • Coursework in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and/or energy engineering

  • Strong technical research and report writing skills

  • Familiarity with industrial facilities and processes

  • Knowledgeable of HVAC systems and design

  • Experience with measurement and verification of energy-efficiency projects

  • Must be curious, comfortable asking questions, and comfortable working with a team

Projects include:

  • Technical support for large utility-spend organizations’ energy and sustainability initiatives

  • Industrial and commercial building energy assessments

  • High-performance building energy consulting, commissioning, and simulation

  • Technical assistance to energy-efficiency programs and corporations

  • Technical assistance for distributed energy resource and electrification initiatives

  • Energy benchmarking and baselining
