Logan Smith

Logan is an energy engineer that works on commissioning, healthcare energy management, and energy auditing projects. He helps lead commissioning and energy management design and construction projects, ensuring our clients’ facilities operate efficiently and are set up for long-term operational success. As a member of the hospital energy management team he helps find opportunities for energy efficiency and ease of operation and maintenance. He provides technical assistance in reviewing energy efficiency programs and updates to technical reference manuals. He also assists on commercial and industrial energy audits.


Before joining Go, Logan worked as an energy engineer and analyst. He provided technical consulting, energy modeling, and design review for commercial and multifamily new construction, some of which were targeting zero-energy or Energy Star certification. He performed energy audits on commercial and multifamily buildings, some with a focus on electrification and decarbonization. He also provided energy consulting for PACE Financing in multiple states.


He graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Energy Science, and a minor in Sustainability. During college, he also studied at the Newman Institute in Uppsala, Sweden as part of their environment and justice program. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton.


Logan, along with his fiancé and their dog, love spending their time exploring Dayton’s cozy neighborhoods and hanging with loved ones.
