Rohullah Arya

Rohullah is a member of Go’s Distributed Energy Resources team, involved in renewable energy, demand response, energy storage, and grid interactive technologies projects. His electrical engineering focus, his experience designing utility grid-scale renewable energy systems, and his passion for building energy efficiency and zero energy buildings aid our clients as they navigate the complexity of decarbonizing their portfolios.


Rohullah earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Kabul University and spent five years working with various organizations, including Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), the national utility company. There, he participated in regional cooperation efforts aimed at integrating renewable energy into the power network among Central Asian countries. He also collaborated in the development a road map for cross-border interconnection and renewable energy integration, which he hopes will pave the way for future trade of renewable energy in the region. In another position with the Ministry of Energy of Afghanistan, Rohullah led several energy programs and projects aimed at supporting national energy policy and ensuring affordable and equitable energy access for the Afghan people.


These experiences and his passion for continued education led Rohullah to earn a Fulbright Scholarship to attend the University of Dayton, where he proudly earned a Master of Science in Renewable and Clean Energy. He also holds a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.


Outside of work, Rohullah is member of the IEEE Club, a professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity. He enjoys staying informed of the latest developments in his field and studying advances in renewable energy. In his free time, he likes to play and watch soccer to stay active and connect with friends. Rohullah cherishes quality time spent with family and friends!
